e-Stet’s internal technology platform is structured to restore backup tapes from nearly any source, whether common or obsolete types no longer in use. e-Stet’s backup tape restoration team catalogs, pinpoints and rapidly extracts data in non-native applications. Such applications allow greater speed and efficiency in accessing data residing on backup tapes, with an eye towards extracting only the files most likely to yield responsive information. In-house processes allow clients to preserve access to archives otherwise difficult to support internally.

Methodologies include text and metadata indexing, enabling advanced searching. Upon completion of cataloguing, e-Stet provides full reporting of tape contents to minimize the amount of data that is extracted and ultimately processed for review, yielding substantial time and cost savings.
